Licences

To compete, a dog needs a licence. To get one, the dog passes a vet check and licence runs.

Steps

  1. The dog is registered in an FCI recognised studbook and microchipped.
  2. A vet checks the dog's health and vaccinations.
  3. The dog does licence runs in front of a judge: one alone and at least one with another dog, without interfering.
  4. The union issues the licence and adds the number to the dog's record.

Age limits

Example, check the current FCI and national rules: a dog can do licence runs from 12 months of age.

Documents

Bring the dog's registration certificate and vaccination passport.
